I want to start by recognizing the three movers who handled my move: Nathan, Charlie, and Abu. They were courteous, hardworking, and maintained a positive attitude throughout a very long day. Very professional from the initial phone call up to the day of delivery. They would give updates via email and texts letting me know a few days beforehand they were scheduled, right up to the day of picking up my sleeper sofa and sleeper chair that they were available to come an hour earlier. The day of pickup the two guys were very friendly and professional, they wrapped my furniture to protect it and even offered to move another piece of furniture back into place. I chose Blue Dolly over two competitors based on their written estimate: $453 (stated range $400–$575), 2 movers, arrival 12–2 PM. The reality: the crew arrived at 1:30 PM — 90 minutes late — and finished at 6:30 PM. The final bill was ~$1,000, nearly double the estimate and well above the top of their own range. This was a light load: ~1,000 lbs, ~35 boxes, no beds or appliances.
