After a walk through inventory we agreed to a quote by their representative. Moving day was 5/20 and we had already moved about 10% of the items ourselves. They quoted a 2 truck 4 man move and we move 2 20 foot trailer loads ourselves. After 12 hours they did not have boxes where they belonged, beds put together, boxes were water damaged due to their leaking truck, and a large amount of our items were left behind at the old house. We had an appointment today with 6th Man Movers. They were scheduled to be here from 1 - 3. Actually called the day before to see if it was ok if they came early… It’s now 5:45 and no one has been here. We’ve called their office 4 times today and were told someone would be here in 25 minutes 3 different times. Now no one is answering the phone and we have already paid them $200. Why would anyone want to work with a company like this?
WARNING - DO NOT USE THESE MOVERS. During our move they ran out of blankets and loaded 1/2 of our furniture and items into the truck - ON TOP of each other without protection. Many items were damage beyond repair. WE PAID FOR THE ADDITIONAL INSURANCE - HOWEVER 6TH MAN HAS REFUSED TO HONOR THE CLAIM. DO NOT USE THEM - THEY ARE DISHONEST, AND ABSOLUTELY THE MOST TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE WE HAVE EVER DELT WITH! DO NOT USE THEM! - WOULD RATE 0 STARS IF POSSIBLE - DISHONEST - LIARS - BAD BUSINESS.
RUN!!! CHOOSE ANY OTHER MOVER! They quoted me for a 6 hour move but only sent two men so it took 13 hours for a local move despite the fact that their own employees begged them to send more men. They charge by the hour so they decided not to send a third man $$$. They cracked the back of a 70 inch tv in two places and somehow managed to shred the power cord, broke three lamps, broke the leg off two end tables, broke the leg off a leather chair and scratched the leather on the sides and top, scratched my headboard to my mast... read more
