I hate to leave a bad review on a local company that came with great reviews, but it has to be said that this was one of the worst experiences we have ever encountered. The four young guys were very friendly and polite. However, it seemed like no one knew what they were doing and there was no one to direct them. Would not recommend this company to anyone. Packers did not cone prepared to pack everything nor did they have enough supplies or correct material to pack us. Very disappointing when they sent out a representative (Chase) to look at the house and what we were shipping to see what was needed before we signed a contract with them. During the move several phone calls during the process and no representative would come to the house to address our concerns or fix the issue. No clothes were moved or bins that you see. We brought those over. 1800 for only this furniture does not make sense. They didn’t have the resources they needed to do this move. 8.5 hours for this little bit of stuff no bins no boxes no bags no nothing just furniture. I’m so disappointed and I hope you all so right and refund me some of my money. Very little communication, does not value customers' time nor money when their truck breaks down, and has an incentive program for their movers regarding 5 star google reviews. We were offered money off of our next move for the inconvenience. This company has ZERO affiliation with the University of Virginia. The owners’ are from another state and their workers are not all UVA grads. Customer service severely lacking.
Poor customer service when there was a problem. Most of the move went well. However, an employee lost a nut to secure one of the bolts for my 4-poster bed. (not a standard size nut) He and I had to leave the new house, returrn to the old house, look for the part, then go back to the new house - at the end of a very long day. He did not tell me he didn't find the part til after we got back. Then, he said the bolt could be omitted (oh heck no). RecommendedChase and crew were fantastic. Showed up on time and worked hard. NO ONE standing around with their hands on their pockets. Watch out for management. They totally underestimated my house and now I'm stuck. Bad management!!! ALSO that discount... Watch them again. They wrote my job as two jobs and only gave the discount on the first job. The men moving are great.. management needs to stop doing bait and switch
