I hired Evolution Moving for a whole-house move on May 21. Before the move, I explained the contents of the house during the estimate process so they could estimate the scope. On moving day, I emailed additional instructions because I would be unavailable by phone. I provided my partner's contact information and specifically requested that all garage items be packed and moved. I booked a long distance move with Evolution Moving. Price was about $9,000 and put a deposit down for $600. Our buyers just backed out of the contract and I called Evolution right away and told them we have 8 days till the move but we no longer have a sale. They refused to refund me the $600 deposit. Now I will no longer give them my business and will let someone else do our move.
Second time using this company. First time went smooth so I thought this would be the same, not the case. After the move I went to go unpack my belongings to find that items were stolen from some boxes. Some very personal items that were handmade and irreplaceable. Reached out to the owner and was told that his guys don’t steal, wouldn’t even refund some of the money for the move or even the tip that was given after the move. Terrible customer service and terrible employees that can’t be trusted.
My experience with them was terrible. I DO NOT RECOMMEND! I hired then to pack and they sent 3 young men who didn’t seem to have any real experience with packing. And the lead guy and one of his crew were terribly rude when I complained because I saw them throwing my things in a large box with no lid or wrapping paper - things like musical instruments and vases! This company broke so much of my friends property, and rather than trying to fix things, the owner came up with half assed excuses as to why so many things were broken. For the price they charge, I'd expect at least halfway decent service, but they don't even care about what they did. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.
The movers showed complete negligence while packing and moving my friend’s items. Multiple (very expensive) thinks are broken or missing and it’s has been a nightmare trying to get them to get them to make things right.
FALSE and MISLEADING ADVERTISING This company boasts their level of professionalism and care for the furniture and belongings of their customers, but this was far from our experience. When we hired Evolution, we let them know we had high expectations due to the value and beauty of our furniture and they assured us that it would all be taken care of, as if it were their own. Broke a leg off my tv stand, Said there was nothing they could do but glue it and that didn't hold. Scratched the paint off and dented our expensive coffee table. Only offered to use a marker to fix it.
